About Blyde Wildlife Estate

The estate is Danish owned. In 2002 Soren Nielsen bought the area along with his parents, Lisbeth and Jorgen Nielsen, and has since built the 40 houses and a wide range of luxurious shared facilities. The Estate is being continuously developed.

The Estate employs a professional staff of director, general manager, safety- and service personnel, professional staff in the restaurant and highly skilled local chefs.

The general manager is happy to help to arrange daytrips, gamedrives, hunting, river rafting, elephant riding, hot air balloon flights, river boat trips, helicopter flights and bush walks with lion cubs.

Jonas Frank Johannesen recounts about his experiences in Kit Sanne Nielsens house during Worldd Cup 2010:

"Let me start by saying, that no matter how many great photos you've seen of this place, they can never do justice to the real thing. When closing the mosquito net on the huge bed placed right in the middle of your 50 square meter room, and taking in the grandiose view of the Draken mountains through your windows, you know you have found a very special place in this world. And sure, the same stunning view can be enjoyed from the big, partly covered terrace. When sitting here, it almost felt as if we didn't pay the house due respect by sitting only two people by the huge table on the terrace, that was so big it seemed like it was almost begging for a dinner party or a pool party in the pool with the wonderful view. The Estate was simply fantastic and seemed very safe. Rhinos in the river and giraffes walking around the roads offered the impression of a place, which offered so much; there was no need to go anywhere else to go on a safari. I hope I get the opportunity to return - all my best recommendations."
